Guys,
Iwas able to get four flights on my p47 this weekend. With the DLE 55RA. She flies great and does not need anything over half throttle to scoot along nicely. I'm playing with the thought of trying a 20x10 Biela 4-blade prop for a more scale apperance. Ido realize that there will be a performance lost going to a 4-blade but wanted to hear the thoughts of you warbird veterans.
good to hear you can get out and fly. Up in the north east it is still cold and windy.

Did you do anything to strenthen the airframe due to your engine choice?
do you have a finished plane weight?
any photos?

Iadded more glue to the firewall joints but that was all. Ihave not weighed her yet so I'm not sure. Iwould guess the weight is around 18-20 lbs maybe more. As was suggestedIhad to add about 16oz of weight to the nose to achieve the correct CG. She certainly does not fly like a pig. She zips along very well at half stick.
