Default RE: Which (chinese) facctories make various brands of ESC ..?

<span style="font-size: small">I asked in post #66 of this thread: </span><span style="font-size: medium">CAN WE TELL WHETHER AN ESC IS MADE BY SUNRAY TECHNOLOGY -OR BY ZTW -JUST BY ITS APPEARANCE?</span></p>

<span style="font-size: small">Well yes, quite surprisingly, in many cases we can </span>... -Not in all cases, but certainly with some ESC's -their appearance can tell us whether the manufacturer is Sunray Tech or ZTW.
Of course, 12 months ago, we actually thought that a <span style="font-size: small">general similarity</span> between the appearance of ESC's like Mystery, Black Mantisand Hacker X-Pro, and Hyperion Titan (together with the fact they used a <span style="font-size: small">"similar"</span> jumper program card) showed us that these ESC's were all manufactured by ZTW ...
-see: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...mp;postcount=1
and the rest of this thread: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1333719</p>

However, we now <u><span style="font-size: small">KNOW</span></u> that ESC's like: Hacker X-Pro; Hyperion Titan; E-F Airboss; Common-Sense-RC, and others are made by the SunRay Tech factory. And we now realise that they do NOT use a program card which is the same as ZTW. -They actually use a "Sunray" program card - http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=11452515</p>

<u><span style="font-size: small">SUNRAY TECH -MANUFACTURED ESC's:
</span></u>So: What about the appearance of the Sunray-made ESC's vs ZTW-made ESC's ...?
Let's look at some Sunray-manufactured ESC's first (pics 1 shows Airboss 60A ESC; pic 2 shows Shulman Fury 55A ESC ):</p>

Sunray-made ESC's usually have on their label:
Company name / Brand name, at top and centred on the label;
They usually state "Brushless Controller" under the company name;
Then in middle of the label, they usually have the "series name" or "model name" of ESC and its Amp rating, in large type (ie. "Airboss Elite" or "Fury")
They usually have "CE" at bottom right;
They usually give the LiPo number rating at lower left of the label.
And for ESC's rated for 2-6 LiPo, they usually say "6-18 NiCd" underneath this (or "6-18 NC" or "6-18 N~" or "6-18 Nxx" );
Also, some of the Sunray-made ESC's have yellow motor wires; Whenever you see yelllow motor wires, it is a good bet that it is a Sunray-made ESC</p>

-This general label design can certainly be found on: E-F Airboss; Apache; BMI Spitz; Common Sense RC; Hacker X-Pro; Hyperion Titan; Sonic Electric; Shulman Aviation ESC's.
-The Hacker X-Pro 70A ESC is shown in pic 3; This differs only by having the Hacker brand name at the top right of the label, and "Brushless Controller" at the top left. Note that it also says "6-18 NC"
