RE: Vailly Aviation Stinson L5 Sentinel quarter scale build
OK so today I decided to forgo my linkage plans as described for reasons of mechanical incompatibility. From an engineering standpoint, there would have been too much slop in the surfaces. So I installed the horn rib on the flap I built and 2 ply plates as directed by the plan on the ailerons. I also hunted up servos, control horns and even found a couple of short 4-40 pushrods which will work nicely for either flaps or ailerons. I know it will still be a long time before I need any of that stuff, but what the heck. And of course it is helpful to have the servos in order to size the servo mounts. I am getting antsy to start on the second wing!
