After reading that document of post 28 I understand the modificaions.
To realize these I have to spend some time to evaluate because also in that document I discover a fault and so maybe there are more.
The description contents two modifications, the second is swap the CLC antenna for a BLC (Base Loaded Coil) antenna and the first modification is insert components to reduce the effect of RF radiation in the timing circuit. The first modification CAN be needed because there is mounted the coil of the BLC in the casing(second mod)!!
For sure is the CLC will give a wider range, so I doubt it is worth the effort. Maybe only for indoor use for example!
