My mistake, and I stand corrected. I wonder if the canards (or the stabs for that matter) are static balanced on the pivot on the FS aircraft you mentioned. Do you happen to know?
I don't know. Most of the static shots I've got of the full-size show the canards either sitting level or nose-down.
