RE: When upgrading to LiFe, don't forget the voltage drop on ignitions
Keep in mind that the 1N4007 is rated for 1 Amp. This works fine for most ignition systems, some draw a higher current (e.g. some Zenoah with 2 A).
If overloaded, they will internally melt and let the full voltage pass through.
I have been using HK voltage regulators for a while yet, on ignition and rx. They work great.
