Default RE: HL-Tiger I: How to open and remove the Tiger tracks

That's what a forum is, a growing bunch of topics that take up space on it, & depending on how interested members are in any one of those topics, they either remain at the top of the forum with new posts, or they fall to back pages.

As far as taking up space is concerned anyway, there 's really no difference between a single thread containing 32 separate topics in it, which would grow enormous as members continue to post discussion of each of those 32 separate topics in that one thread, to the space 32 separate threads on those same topics would consume, each on it's own.

As far as worrying things might get lost or buried because all the related topics aren't all in one huge post ... well the index thread will have all the necessary links for all the related topics, so as long as that one thread is either Stickied at the top of the forum, or members at least bookmark it, all 32 topics it covers will be easily found at any time a member needs to find them, regardless of whether they are topics still being discussed frequently on the first page, or have been spread out all over the forum because they were less discussed.

If you don't believe individual threads, each dedicated to a particular issue, helps the flow of those topics & those individual threads, making it much easier for members interested in them to find pertinent information within the thread & discuss that topic, then I guess we disagree on what actually is easier. To me, nothing is more annoying then having to wade through a single thread, that has become so long & bloated with discussion of multiple topics & other side discussions, that it's near impossible to have a smooth discussion on any one single topic the thread might be discussing. Threads like that discussing multiple topics might start out OK, but they always end up in a total mess where following the flow of discussion for any one topic becomes a "Where is Waldo" hunt through the umpteen pages of the thread .... no thanks.
