RE: Large Skymaster Hawk build
Hello George,
Thanks.
I am still fine tuning my setup, but as of right now, I am using 15 degrees for takeoff flaps and 35 for landing. seems to work well for now. As for the ele-flap mix, I ruffly set my mix to give me about 1/4" up ele with takeoff flap and about 3/8" up with landing flap. I have not changed this and I do not see any major pitch changes with flap deployment.
I am also setting up an iGyro that has the pmix for ele-flap turned off when the gyro is turned on, and the gyro is easily adjusting for any pitch change there may be. I have taken off and landed in both gyro on and off settings and have had nose gear lift off first and the Hawk fly off with no leaping into the air and main gear first touch down as seen by many with no fight during the approach.
You will love the way this plane flies.
Good luck when it comes time for your maiden flight.
Joe
