RE: GTM 1/2 Scale Fokker Triplane
Now I'll show you guys one of the coolest secrets! For those who don't already do this....
The cable retainers that are at each end of the turnbuckles that look like springs are so easy to make and work flawelessly.
First I put a drill bit in my drill press upside down. You use the required size to make the diameter you wish to have. Then a peice of wire the same you are using on the rigging usually works fine. make a 1/4 inch 90 degree bend at one end. stick that up in the chuck, now pull on the other endwith a set of needle nose and slowly turn the drill chuck by hand, do not attemp to turn the drill press on!! And roll the stock around the bit. Slide it off the bit, cut to lenght and you have the perfect cable retainer! Looks scale and works awesome!
