Flitemetal and stick on foils look ok, but if you want a real aluminum finish, there is nothing like getting the plane actually thermally plated in aluminum as an option .. We handle MetalMorp for RC/models ... whole aircraft, or just small pieces, anything can be plated... and it does not wrinkle or dent at any slight touch .. Plating also weighs around as much as a pant/clear coat job, and a lot less that aluminum foil as well .

the all aluminum F-86 at this year's Top Gun ( flown in proam i believe) was plated by the MetalMorph process ... years and years old, and no dents, looking real
