Fly eagle handing out an award for best craftmanship makes as much sense as Osama Bin Laden handing out a Nobel Peace Prize.
I'm sure they will drum up a lot of buisness and get new victims.
Won't surprise me if after Kentucky they claim some nonsense like they did with Florida Jets about Sabotage, but Like you said I don't get it and hope I never do, that knowledge you can keep to yourself.
First, FEJ doesn't hand out the award, nor do any of the sponsors, they just sponsor it, Lewis and his crew select the winners and hand out the awards. Second, KY Jets, like most flyins, is a "no politics" zone. Everyone just comes out to fly and have a good time, all of the other beefs, legitimate or not, get left at home!
It sounds like you have some issues to deal with WRT FEJ, but you shouldn't bring that into this discussion and nobody - on either side of the issue, wants it to be brought up at Ky Jets, FIF, Summer Afterburner, BITW, etc. That's not what the people like Lewis who work *very hard* at organizing these *fun* events want to have happen there.
