JRs new 11ch Rx
Hi all, I have recently moved to back to JR and adopted there new DMSS systems after being let down badly by Spectrums new flagship TX but miss Spectrums/JR extensive range of RXs.I'm very happy with my new XG11 Tx and it has been faultless since day one using both there 11 and 8ch RXs and hope to enjoy years of reliable use as I had with my JR DSX12 TX on DMS2. My DSX12 Tx on DSM2 had an RXs range available that encompassed everything from simple park flyers on 4ch, had RXs with built in gyros right up to full blown 12ch with integral backup and regs along with compatibility with PowerBox. Now I am sure that JRs DMSS RX range will increase and "eventually" be able to be adopted/adapted by PowerBox Systems when they finally release there Xbus (please soon "please") systen but there RX range for now from my point of view is fairly limited. Meanwhile with the new RG113BPU 11ch power safe RX I hoping it might be a stop gap for my bigger IC airframes or even some of my jets ""BUT"" I've read the spec on the new 11ch RX and its a little confusing. I've got used to having the Sat RXs on DMSS RXs quite close the main RX giving them compared to what I had got used to relatively poor aerial diversity so have been using their optional 300 and 450mm Sat ex leads to help out. What I cant understand at the moment is on the new powersafe RX that is the first of the DMSS RXs to relie on its Sats alone is that it has one RA01TL for telemetry and as an Rx and the other two RA01L sat RXs for receiving alone. According to JR on there web site the RA01L is short range? pherhaps some one at JR or in the know could clear that up as I thought the RA01"L" stood for long Range? I realise you cant have more than one transmitting Sat that are stated as full range on this system as it would confuse the tx with duplicate telemetry but surely they should have all the Sats as full range at the receiving end of things. I now have one of these RXs on its way and will let you all know first hand just which sats it arrives with and later how it performs, I'm sure it will be 100% as are my other DMSS RXs and that it more likely JR have not relayed the correct information on there Sats specifications just yet on there web sites. Its good to see thre RX range is expanding and look forward to many years of reliable use from this system.
