RE: BOWMAN RING
Changing out the stock ring to a Bowman ring is really about personal choice. Bowman rings will seat tighter and the ring gap is less. These qualities are preferred by many because it will increase the performance of the engine and by a descent amount. My last ring conversion went into a DLE 55 and the top rpm increased approximately 500 rpm. Plus the idle and transition became even smoother. So, "No" it's not a necessity, but is a nice performance mod. Of course this is IMHO and I'm sure others will differ.</p>
