I bought my Avistar back in 2000, and learned the basics. I had a co-worker that owned an Aerobatic Piper, and we'd go flying from time to time. Turns out, he also flew the R/C types. Being more affordable, it peaked my interest. I bought my plane, and learned the basics of R/C.

Shortly thereafter, I took a 3 year break from the sport as life became more demanding... but since moving back home to Kansas, I've gotten back into the swing of it. I typically fly every weekend, weather permitting.
