Due to very limited human depth perception after 50 feet ,you could not hit another plane if you choose to and planned it
Mid airs are just accidents , with two planes trying to be in the same place
The cost of the planes just makes it a harder hit emotionally and financially
So sorry for both the planes and pilots for there loss
