RE: Hobby People's VQ-Global 28% Fly Baby ARF
Last Sunday I maidened my Fly Baby - FG-30 Gas Saito, lots of power, three bladed prop.
Well, right after takeoff, the plane banked sharply left; I corrected, took her up and then trimmed out with FULL right aileron trim, and half right rudder trim. Wow, managed to get it down safely to check things out.
Turns out that my right wingtip had a 3 degree warp up - made measurements with an incidence meter. Wing roots were the same and the left wingtip was also fine. Right wingtip was up by three degrees compared to the root and the other wingtip.
I have now straightened out the right wing as much as possible and will try her again this coming weekend.
Just a headsup to ensure your wingtip is not warped like mine.
Plane looks great up there. Covering is a pain - as soon as it sees any heat, it wrinkles. Back in the shade, it tightens up.
