Sorry Oli,
I know that the BF engines probably are great etc, but I'm never gonna buy engines (or other high-priced items that can need regular service etc) from small companies. I have seen way too many ''single'' man companies go down the drain that I want to put my hard earned money into them []
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they make great engines and so on, but companies like that tend to rely on only 1 or maybe 2 persons, these I try to stear away from.
Just my personal opinion

A ''good'' example is SimJet here in Denmark, they were once great technically, with a very few key person(s), now they are gone....
BF-Turbines is Thomas Berktold and Christian Frey. They have now 5 employees dedicated to BF products. Thomas is the owner of Behotec with 20 employees. They are actually as big as Jetcat ( they don't only do turbines but other mechanical stuffs as Jetcat do ).
All together BF draws manpower and expertise of nearly 30 persons. I am not really sure that we can talk about a single man company here. BTW BF is selling about 30 engines per month to the UAV industry. This is now 75% of their market.
