Default RE: Don Smith Cessna T-50

What remains of N67832 (the "hero" airplane seen in all the Sky King flying shots) is reported to be little more than scrap. Its registration expired on March 31 of this year. One of the stand-in airplanes, N4571N (manufacturer's serial number 3305), is owned by Jon Larson Sr. of Auburn, WA (the same person who owns the blue-and-white "Songbird" in the previously posted video), but its condition is unknown.

There was also a third airplane used on the soundstage for entry/exit shots, but its identity is unknown at this point. A fourth airplane may have been kept at the Apple Valley, CA, airport for ground shots, but this is unconfirmed. A fusleage was used for filming cabin shots; its identity is also unknown.

I am compiling histories of every T-50 built for a book, but do not yet have all the FAA registration files, and many T-50 registration files were destroyed in the past, so we may never know the identity of some of the Sky King airplanes. Some may not have been registered.
