I was just thinking the same thing.
I have a P51 that should have a 60 2 stroke in it but it has an OS 70 4 stroke... I ended up adding 3 oz of lead to the tail.
No one notices and the plane flies GREAT!
The key point here is to add as little weight as possible to balance the plane, so add it as far back on the plane as you can (think back to grade eight science and the fulcrum)
