Nice project, my Dad was a RIO (radar intercept officer) in the 437FIS so I am familiar with the Tiger and missile motif. The F89 and F94 and F101 were flown by him in ADC (Air Defense Command). Thank God the Russian Bombers never came! I really remember the bright orange flight suits they wore. So if you put pilot figures in that would be cool, and don't forget to put little cigars in their chest pockets...
wow!Thanks for sharing that information here. I have to admit that the 437 FISis my preferred scheme. The yellow/ black on the tips look awesome. If you have photos of the F89 your dad flew feel free to post them here and I will use them as reference for my model.

Edit:Found a pic, but apparently the wingtips and nose is somewhat green and not yellow...
