Default RE: Midwest AT-6 Overhaul

So the AT-6 flew tonight thanks to my son who was at the controls. The plane took off good and picked up speed fast. Once of the ground he flipped the retract switch but nothing happened. The plane was flying ok but was a bit squirrel Kyle stayed with it and the gear finely came up after many attempts. The plane settled down with the gear up and the rest of the flight went well. We were concerned when it was time to land because of the problems we had getting the gear up but the gear came down without an issue. On the first landing attempt the plane bounced too high so a go around was needed. It was a good thing the G26 had the power needed to get the plane back up to speed. The second landing went much better and the plane rolled to a stop. We were both glad to get our first WWII plane up and flying without a major problem. Kyle also maiden his balsa USA 1/4 Fokker D8. The plane flew ok but needs more power.
