I got tired of breaking the polished hard steel pins and watching others have the same problem. I went to a softer general purpose 8mm steel rod. Bought 3 ft and just cut to size. McMaster has it @ $6.67 for 3 ft. Now, when I screw up, the pin just bends and replaces easily.</p>
