Pictures, we need some pictures here........as you can see, once it broke ground it climbed rather sharply to altitude.
Congrats on the maiden flight Art, glad to see the photos. The very first third scale plane I ever saw was your old Eindecker (back then it was new!). Nice to see you with another Eindecker!
Greg
Hi Greg and thanks. I didn't realize how much I enjoyed flying that old Eindecker until after I sold it - then sellers remorse set in. Although this new Eindecker is only Fun Scale and has conventional control surfaces and my old Eindecker was built for competition scale and had wing warping and a full flying tail, they both fly in a similar fashion......they both have pretty accurate scale outlines and I think the overall layout of the original Fokker design sets the parameters (to a degree) of how the models fly.
They are both "rudder" ships, that's for sure! I think that the Larry Folk kit, with a few modifications, could be turned into a first class competition model. As it is, it has a scale outline and is a super stable flying model.......as you could see from the video it is rock solid on landing. It might take a while for a modeler to learn how to fly a "rudder" ship, it is a little different from a conventional model, but he would be rewarded with a great flying model that's a bit different from the ordinary.
