Default RE: Futaba digitals

Hi Pile-O-Wood,

Battery packs are sold with a Standard rating of 4.8V, 6V, 9.6V, etc. This is the industry standard.

If the battery pack that you purchased has good cells in it, and most do, when you charge this pack and check it with a voltmeter, you will most likely find that a standard 4.8V pack has actually been charged up to 5.3V, 5.8V, or even 6V....this is why when you charge your transmitter battery, many times the voltage will show 11V and over although it is actually a 9.6V battery pack.

This is what we are referring to when we said that digital servos should only be used with 4 cell packs.....many 4 cell packs will charge up to and sometimes over the suggested 6 Volts.

I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.

Sincerely,
Krysta
