Regulator question...
I need an in-line regulator to go between a five cell receiver pack and the receiver that will step the juice down to 4.8V.
I'm finally moving to a 2.4 system, but want a 6V pack to (hopefully) prevent a stalled servo or other voltage drop from inducing a brown-out. Problem is, two of my models have older 9252 servos that are not happy on six volts. Yes, I know that tons of folks report no issues using 9252s on 6V. That's fine; Futaba doesn't recommend it, so I'm not doing it.
All the regulators I'm finding on-line seem to either be for lipo batteries, or set to deliver 6V. I'm running 4.8V NiMh packs on 72 mHz now, but am about to dive off into the e-power side of the hobby and decided to start using the 12Z I got for Xmas. I'll still fly the slimers, but I'd like to keep everything on the one transmitter.
I'm probably not looking in the right places, hence this post. I'd appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction.
TIA.
