RE: FEJ Announcement
I am considering a new jet model, and stumbled across the firestorm of recent FEJ posts. To say I'm shocked and saddened to see a manufacturer behave this way is an understatement!
Apparently some people think "Scale Flight" means easy racetrack patterns only. Perhaps "gentle trainer-like flight" would be more appropriate?
If that's the way you want to fly your birds, so be it. But to be condescending to others and claim "That's how good pilots do it" is disingenuous at best. The fact is as a manufacturer they have a responsibility to ensure their designs are safe enough to be flown as the pilot wishes to. If a model (especially a jet model!!!) can't handle anything other than gentle circuits, then the manufacture needs to place a disclaimer on said product. These jets are obviously rushed to market without adequate testing, or even the simple consideration for the safety of their fellow modeler. That is truly scary!
Suffice it to say, I will spend my money elsewhere.
