RE: XB-70 EDF
The XB-70 which is my largest most powerful of my jets took off looking badass was about 1/8 mile away when the fan unit started to make some HORRIBLE noise..either I sucked in a humming bird or a very large BUG 200 feet up in the air.. the jet started SMOKING out the exhaust and I thought for sure she was on fire over of all things the freaking wheat field!!!!! I powered her off and pointed her towards the runway knowing there was no way to land her on her wheels so I elected to belly land her...well with now power on the fan she came down soft like a feather on the wind... I heard clapping and "GREAT SAVE AND LANDING DUDE!" so I checked the motor and the housing was melted...overheated..damn...but the XB-70 was unharmed!
So now it's time for a replacement motor/fan and ESC which I guess is shot now...
any suggestions?
