BL stands for BrushLess and refers to the motor technology. Brushless motors are very fast. A car with a brushless set is a lot faster than a car with a brushed set.<div>
</div><div>The RC18T2 is not a car for the beginner, it has a lot of minor issues which need solving before the car is reliable. I would recommend the older model (without the '2'), which has shaft drive instead of belt drive and is easier to maintain and setup.</div>
