I asked that same question to the Tomahawk Rep which had the same jet and scheme, He said it was a turbine/bell mouth distance thing. The Rep had the same setup and his was not that loud, I forget his name.

Goetz Vogelsang is the Tomahawk reps name I believe. A very nice gentleman BTW.
