I will be doing the hatch mod for sure, I had thought about this when I first got the model but after seeing the hatch push the latch out on flame out I would say its a highly recommended small easy mod. I was going to ask if you think adding another latch in the middle forward and back would be enough or should the latch be in the middle of the cover?
