Default RE: Let's meet the new guys!

Hello all!! My name is Nik! First I must say this is truly the best forum I have seen for anything!! Great job! I'm 29, married, and two kids (4 and 1). I have recently decided to get back into this hobby, as you all know it is more addictive than Amsterdam heroin!! I got out of it (the hobby) once my first child was born. Had to put money towards diapers, toys, etc... Now that my son is 1, I went out and bought an RTF Alpha for a quick and snappy return. Just something to hold me over as I build my winter project which at the moment is undecided. I figured I would start over the right way this time. I was a self taught flier, and picked up some bad habits, like crashes! Anyway, I work at Love Field in downtown Dallas, TX as a Learjet Mechanic for Bombardier Aerospace. We recently moved down here from Wichita, Kansas. I worked on the production line up there building Lear 45's. I love my job and see things most people can only dream of, therefore I try not to take it for granted. I often catch myself staring outside watching airplanes land and take off. I guess you could call me a "Plane Junkie". I go to work and fix airplanes, and come home and build, fly and probably fix more airplanes. I'm sure glad my wife loves me so much!!! If any of you are ever in town and can give me some notice I can try and take you down to the shop. Not too many people see the inside of a 60 million dollar jet!! I look forward to all your advice, help, flames, and criticism!
