I am wondering if there is a timing shear pin someplace ? I know nothing about cars...Engines are usually pretty simple...I cant imagine anything in the recoil that would mess it up unless it could somehow be turning it backwards now after the cord came out too far...Is there a way of turning it over with an electric starter ? I would replace the glow plug because sometimes even when they look good they aren't . Also I would go back and set your needles to what the manual calls for in the starting procedure...You might have a hunk of crap in the high speed so pull the needle rite out and hook up your fuel pump to your fill line and give it a wee squirt to blow any thing out and replace the needle to what the manual calls for and try and start it...
