Very nice Tom, I'm sure you gave them food for thought...All of the control horns have been installed on the rudder and elevator. I used Du-Bro's Heavy Duty Control Horn system #866 for the elevator and the Heavy Duty Dual Pull-Pull System #883 for the rudder.Before this process began I made sure to install hard points (3/8" hardwood dowel) in all of the control horn locations. Installing hard points prevents the balsa from crushing when tightening down the nuts/bolts of the control horns. You can see in the photo that I use two mixing sticks along with a spring clamp to hold all the control surfaces in their neutral positions. After the guide tubes were installed I supported them using some lite ply to prevent the 4-40 rod from flexing.
