I sent a PM to a member, and the PM did not show up in the Sent Box.
After you write your PM, make sure you scroll down and check the box that says "Save a copy of this message in your
Sent Items folder" in order to get them to show up in the Sent Box.

Oh, that was another thing. I received a reply to a PM, it was there, just no text in it. The guy did send the text, it just never made it through to me.
