I only know about lights on the RAF Tucanos but these work as follows:

Solid navigation lights on wings and rudder (red on left wingtip, green on right wingtip, white on bottom of rudder). These are on all the time the aircraft is manned.

Flashing white strobe lights on wing tips and rudder. These are turned on just before take off and turned off after landing.

Solid white landing lights - one on the leading edge of each wing. Turned on and off at the same time as the strobes.

Solid white taxi light - On the noseleg. This is turned on when taxying and off during shut down. It automatically turns off when the undercarriage is retracted.
