Scale is not really a consideration - I bet the surfaces on the full size are all bolted fittings, nothing like the way we build models, so why would we have to follow only some full size practices?

On mine I used thread lock on the nuts and bolts and left them just loose enough to allow the brackets to swivel a bit (not "dangle" loose). When I take off the struts the brackets stay with the strut and I only remove the screw from the wing. Once the struts are off I put the screws back in the wings so I dont lose them. I thought about getting some sticky back magnet material and putting it somewhere in the fuse, but I dont thing its strong enough. There really isn't a way to lessen the amount of set up this bird takes and thats too bad as I would pull it out more often if there was!
