Frag, reduce elevator throws to about 1/2 inch up and 1/2 inch down max, by using longer moment at control horn, not by dual rates otherwise your trim will still be too sensitive. Both elevators should have equal angle and control moment. If the horns are crushing the balsa, fix or change them immediately, or use a one with larger seat. Later increase elevator throws slowly so you get to the maximum deflection it will take without causing a tip stall. Most high peformance airplanes will tip stall with excessive elevator throws.
