For the price of a Traxxas TQI Radio you can probably upgrade to a better Transmitter and Receiver for the money it costs to replace it. I installed a Spektrum DX3C in my Revo for $129.00 and the price has come down to $99.99. I would shop around for another radio system with a Digital display. If you do install another radio word of advice remove the Opti Drive System they do not work with other radios in my experience
