Default RE: Eagle 2 ARF & 4 Stroke Engine?

Tom,

Well I'm so goofy sometimes. I'm glad I didn't goof this time. Actually, when I read that line I had to chuckle, I just wanted to make sure.

Ron didn't say he would put the "y" connector on the Eagle 2. I sort of am taking it for granted that he will, but if not I'll just order one when I order a few boxes of rubber bands etc.

I'll bet it is more responsive with both ailerons working. I'll have to be especially attentive for the first few minutes after hooking it up that way. Ron can do quick loops and fairly tight rolls with it the way it is now. That's from his experienced piloting skills and the power of the .46, I'm assuming.

Actually, instead of excited I'm a little apprehensive. I think I'm starting to realize having the responsibility of doing repairs after I finally solo and have the inevitable hard landings. Weird, huh? I guess I'm looking too far ahead.

It was exciting when Ron said for me to do a take-off for the first few times. Exciting might not be quite the right word. "Nerve wracking" is what it was, but nerve wracking in a really FUN! way.

To me, exciting is the anticipation of waiting for the delivery truck to bring some new item I've ordered after researching for a few months to decide on all the features that I think will make the PERFECT COMBINATION of what I want it to have.

The climax of that excitement is opening the box with shaky hands and telling myself, "Calm down Dale." And, "Don't drop anything and break it." And, "Look at yourself old man, you're acting and feeling like a 12 year old kid."

The excitement of having this particular plane may be delayed until I put it in MY pick-up truck at the end of tomorrow's instruction session, or when I bring it into the house and place it gingerly in position to wait for the next session, or maybe even until next week when we take our virgin trip TO the flying field.

Dad will probably come home today. His heart rate has been normal since ICU last Saturday. Doc said he has bronchitis and pneumonia, so he'll have new medicines to help fill his big brown pill bag. He'll also get a blood thinner and will have regular tests to see that he gets set to just the right dosage. The thinner is to help prevent a stroke. I don't know if that's a 2 stroke,,, or a 4 stroke...

Ya see that Tom? I'm all the way back on topic now.

I sort of realized he wasn't in really bad condition when, on his first day there, he started trying to line up "home health? care" with all the lady nurses he saw.

The weather has been overcast the last few days. Temps are ranging from the 60s to the 80s. I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow or Saturday. Hey! Look! I see the Sun is trying to break through the clouds.

Well, the Eagle flies tomorrow guys.

Let's just see if I can keep my plane aerobatic, not acrobatic. ----- elad
