Both should be wrapped in 1/4"-1/2" foam rubber. Secure the foam to itself using a small piece of electrical tape. Then either use double sided foam tape, velcro or both secure them to the plane.

I typically use foam tape and then just for a bit of extra security I also put some velcro straps around if possible.
