I am building a modified Sun Fli 5. This is a long tapered wing version of the earlier Sun fli models. It actually looks more like a Dirty birdy with a Kaos fuselage. I built this plane for a fun sport model, everyday flier.
I have really been torn as to what to power it with Gas or glow. (I even contemplated electric! Thankfully I came to my senses!) I was excited to see the Evolution line of small gas engines come out. But I also really thought an OS .65 AX would be perfect for it. The fact that I hate paying so much for glow fuel, I have come to the conclusion that I am going to get an Evolution 15cc .90. My wing is bigger than stock (72") as I modified the design a little. So the extra engine size will not be too much. It is exciting to see these new smaller gas engines. It gives us a lot of options.
I have been flying the DLE 20 for 3 years now and love it. I am very happy to see the rear exhaust and also the angled plug. While I do not have a project lined up for this engine, I do for a 30cc sized. So I may be in the market for the 35RA.
