After re-reading *Crash* Johnson's thread about occupations, and seeing how many people support their hobby by being computer geeks, I have come to a generalization. Apparently, a fellow geek's propensity toward technical things attracts them to the world of RC. Is it the computer radios? Doubt it. It must be the mechanical end of things.

I'm curious. What are the comp techs most attracted to in this hobby? Flying? Building? The challenge? What else? I think for me it the mechanical end of things. I love to scratch build also.

I also noticed something else. I visit a tech forum often, www.pcmech.com . Anybody else a member there? I typed in RC over in their search field and didn't get too many hits (and they have a general discussion forum for stuff like that). If you fellow geeks ever need a wealth of computer info, go there. You guys are missing out. BTW, my handle over there is BFD Deadeye.
