My experience is totally different from Jim's My two oldest Saitos, an .80 from 1989 or there abouts and a 1.50 from 1991 have never been run without castor and have never needed to have the valves cleaned. My late .80s Enya .46 MKII four stroke has never had the valves cleaned either, this amazes me.
