My vote is to ban the FEJ Hawk from flying, period. This means both at events and just regular flying at AMA or public fields.

Like many other qualifier people, I offered to help FEJ but was told that they have the issues well in hand. Yet another crash of a "corrected" Hawk and lose stabs on another "corrected" FEJ Hawk would indicate that these issues have not been resolved.

If FEJ wants to fix the issues themselves, fine. In the mean time, I don't see how a responsible person can fly one. I would encourage CD's, club presidents, and fellow modelers to insist these planes are grounded until such time as proof has been provided that there is a real fix and that it has been incorporated into the plane before it can be flown.

By proof of the fix, I would be satisfied with a corrected Hawk being flown hard for 50 flights. Certainly it would be possible for factory pilot(s) to take a corrected plane and fly it 24 times in an 8 hour day. Shoot some video. Have some witnesses. In just two days, FEJ could have all the proof they need, could splash it all over their web page, and this problem could be put to bed.

The ball is in your court FEJ! What are you going to do?
