I have been monitoring this thread for quite a while reading some great info on these engines. My Dad had an Enya .35 on a Sterling S-2 Mustang that he flew on 65 ft. lines (probably 1975). When I was 15 I bought a a Nobler kit with a .35 5224 engine NIB both for $25 but never got around to building the Nobler (both are still NIB!). I have since taken up obtaining them new and used when the price was good. I have yet to find one without good compression, though I had to completely degum the 90-4C and rebuild it.

Here's my current list:

Enya .09 II SNV
Enya .09 III TV
Enya .15 SNV
Enya .15-IV TV
Enya .15 SNV
Enya .29 5224 ST
Enya .35
Enya .35 5224 ST (Square)
Enya .35 5224 TV/SNV (NIB)
Enya SS-40 TV 6301
Enya SS-40BB TN (2)
Enya SS-50BB TN Ring (NIB)
Enya 60-III TV 7033
Enya 90-4C

I have the two Enya SS-40 TN's on flying airplanes, one a GB Tiger 2 that I am just finishing. On these 40's I actually replaced the barrel TV and G carb's with newer TN carb's by buying them directly from Enya as Enya is still selling these factory direct from Japan. I have been going between the Enya's and some OS MAX 46-SF's that run really well for this size of plane.

Any recommendations for a good sport plane for the .09 TV?

The rest are waiting patently....
