Mike.. you need to do so much more than that! There needs to be a former installed in the fuse that goes into the vert stab. The Elevator rotation pivot needs major reinforcement. The entire rear end of the model tends to twist so you need to box in the side of the fuse(im just about to do this and will post some pics soon. As for the wings you need to sandwitch some carbon fiber tissue between the foam and the balsa sheeting or flight skin as you say your going to use.
