Just a followup to all of this.

Here is a test run of the engine with Bob's newest ECU. (R03B) It seems to run a RAM engine, as well as any modern engine/ECU combo. I ran it a total of 4 times on the stand... and each start was just as easy, and smooth as the last.

FYI... this is on all the "Stock" settings from Bob. My only change was to set the start gas to 10, because I use straight propane, with a regulator valve. If you use powermax, you will probably set it to 6.
