Didnīt find so much information as hoped for the Challenge. These 2 photos are from a german book "RC Kunstflugmodelle", published already 1982.
The text tells that Tobias Schulz is Pilot (and designer/builder, I am quite sure) of the Challenge, and that this plane is regarded uncommonly large for those days.
