sounds like a plan, Max... I'll have a look at the old transmitter today and let you know what channel it is...
I did basically gut it and replaced all the electronics.... dropped a $5 Orange RX in it and some $5 servos...
you're right on target, your thinking is NOT flawed
I'll let U know today what channel I've got.
