Assembly completed ! Flying tomorrow
Here is what I have to say about setup .
1. Engine mount , Very strong , I had OS installed and didnot have to turn upside down. I guess all we need to do is adjust the engine to how much far we could slide the clutch inside the clutch bell, without hitting . As it does not have the fixed holes like on the Metal mounts , some cleverness is needed while setting up.
2. You may need to "ground" the engine with Remote glow igniter (due to plastic mount)
3. Exhaust Bolts need to go in before mounting engine in frame
4. It is hard to reach the glow plug with a Wrench
5. Routing wires is breeze ! Unlike raptor all wires go almost inside the frame and can be connected to receiver/gyro neatly .
6. Battery holder has lot of space , I could stuff in a1700 niCD easily , even a 2700 could go in .
7. Inspite of having only one boom support , it looked very strong
8. My head linkages were slightly off which had almost 4 degree of difference in pitch ..had to check all of them to get to even..
Overall , it looks beautiful and tight (slop free) Canopy seemed a little ugly before the Windshield was put , but now I kinda like it . Hey much better than how raptor looks (I love My raptor though)
I am gonna fly this weekend with help of some experienced felllows (Ron C ,Paul (owns a caliber) , Rupert ...). Hopefully will come back with comments and comparision between the two
Once again guys, this may be only for my heli and may differ in any other case
